In 25 years, we at CB Homes have successfully managed many self-build projects; providing our clients with a full turn-key service, at the same time allowing for all the involvement and enjoyment of the process – but without the actual worry.

Our expertise ranges from surveying plots to negotiations with planning authorities; designing your home from your outline ideas, ensuring your budget is not exceeded or providing detailed costings. And, once specification and drawings have been agreed, we will provide you with a fixed price contract – giving you even greater peace of mind.

What do we build?

CB Homes specialises in the design and construction of bespoke brick and block homes. All our homes are designed with energy efficiency in mind and our standard specification exceeds the very latest stringent Part L Building Regulations (Conservation of Fuel and Power in dwellings) which require a 20% reduction in energy loss and production of Carbon Dioxide over and above the Regulations in place prior to April 2006. 

All our homes benefit from:

• Class A Boilers with over 90% efficiency
• Factory insulated Heatrae Sadia Megaflo, unvented pressurised cylinders
• Low energy lights to at least one third of the light fittings
• 75mm Kingspan insulation within the suspended beam and block Ground Floor
• Double glazing with K Glass
• 100 mm cavity wall construction
• Partial or full cavity insulation
• 250 mm insulation in roof space

The majority of our homes have concrete floors for excellent sound and thermal values and wherever possible, we utilise roof space to allow for possible additional living space.
 
However, we are happy to provide additional specification for further energy and Carbon Dioxide saving technologies.
